The M&C Home Depot is looking for a responsible and conscientious individual to join their team as a Cleaner. As a Cleaner you will be responsible for ensuring great first impressions of your assigned locations through your regular cleaning practices, upholding the company’s established health & safety procedures and assist in maintaining the well-being of all team members and customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
2. Cleaning commercial buildings by emptying trash cans, servicing rest rooms and wiping down communal surfaces
3. Ensuring that refuse is disposed of in a timely and responsible manner
4. Ensuring stairwells and passageways remain clear and free of debris
5. Mixing all cleaning solutions appropriately
6. Notifying building management of any damage and or necessary repairs
7. Following all health and safety regulations

Qualification & Experience Required

1. Numerate and literate; Secondary School education would be an asset
2. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning
3. Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, lift repetitively during work hours
4. Must be able to tolerate dusty conditions
5. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals (proper storage and disposal methods)
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Must have a cheerful disposition
8. Self-motivated with the ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision
